Tuesday Updates, New Things, And Music To Stitch By
If you've stumbled on my blog, welcome, we're all new here so bear with me.
I'm diving right in. If you want to know more about me you can click on the About Me page and it'll give you some of the basics. Otherwise, Hello!
This is a hearth, not a soap box. Everyone is welcome. You don't have to be a witch to benefit from this blog, you don't have to be a crafter either. If you're both or neither I still welcome you to read and hopefully enjoy what you read.
Things will be a bit bare bones for some time while I gather my first content heavy post but for now I can tell you a few things.
What I'm reading:
I found a great book recently called The House Witch by Arin Murphy-Hiscock. I'm still reading through it and at the very beginning but it has been refreshing to read about Hearth Craft. I'll keep updating as I read and feel free to read along too and share your thoughts.
My goals for 2019 are to READ from stash. I'm a sucker for a kindle daily deal, especially when it's a title on my wishlist. However, I am trying to go with the word Less as my word of the year and that probably means less money on books too. So, I'll be reading from my pile of books I've acquired but haven't yet gotten around to.
What I'm listening to:
Currently I'm listening to my Witchy Stitchy playlist. It's the favorite for cross stitch and knitting when I get a quiet moment away from my kiddos.
What I'm watching:
I have been catching up on The Magicians on Netflix sporadically (Season three is insane!) and I just finished up watching Stargate: Atlantis for the first time. I'm a bit sad I didn't watch it while it was being aired but you live and learn.
What I'm looking forward to:
Friday! Not just for the weekend but Friday is a ladies night out at my local pottery painting place and I'm anxious to make myself some awesome painted pottery. I'll be sure to share my before and after pictures.
What I'm least looking forward to:
I don't really have an answer to this. Probably laundry, or dishes. This is where twitching your nose and magically having it done would really come in handy.
So, that's all I've got for now. I don't want to ramble too far down. I'll share some of my current projects and pictures in a new post but my goal was to get this started. I hope you enjoy the playlist and come back for more to read!
